About the Camp
Self-driving cars, automated shuttles, teleoperations, programming, drones—these are just some of the exciting topics covered in the Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) Camp. In this one-week day camp, you will have the opportunity to learn about emerging CAV technology and explore career opportunities in a cutting-edge industry that is shaping the future of transportation.
During camp, you will:
- See, touch, and experience automated vehicles
- Take field trips to organizations working on CAV technology
- Engage in learning activities with practitioners and University of Minnesota researchers
The camp is free to attend, and lunch is provided. Space is limited to 20 students.
Applicant Requirements
- Students entering grades 10-12 in fall 2026
- Students with an interest in automotive tech and maintenance, manufacturing, engineering, planning, or robotics
